Weekly case consultations are conducted at the school and group supervision is conducted.

When I conducted counseling in an elementary school with a teenage visitor, I originally thought that children of this age should be relaxed and happy, but after the assessment, I found that the problem was much more serious than I had imagined. I got to know them better and did one-on-one offline counseling, and one of the things that struck me most was the child in the photo.

In the beginning he was in a very bad state, had serious suicidal thoughts, had no good social support system, suffered from a loved one in distress, and was under tremendous pressure from school and family for a long time.

I started with suicide intervention and slowly built up a good counseling relationship with him, accompanying him from the original suicidal thoughts 4 times a week to slowly finding hope and meaning in life.

I was confused during this process because there was little the counselor could do without the cooperation of his family; I was overwhelmed when he cried for the first time in the counseling room; I was afraid when he told me he was thinking of suicide at this moment ……

The good thing is that with the company and support of teachers, seniors and friends, I kept self-adjusting and did a good job in counseling. I have learned a lot from him and I admire this little client for having such a strong energy under his small body.

This has strengthened my determination to pursue this career, and I hope to continue my education to have more experience and ability to make myself a qualified counselor.
